Reason number 2 why I'm in love with Primeval: Captain Tom Ryan. Head of the Special Forces team. Doesn't say a lot but hangs around dressed in black with unfeasible amounts of weaponry strapped to his person, and occasionally does something efficiently heroic. (Aka actor Mark Wakeling, formerly an officer in the Coldstream Guards before he turned to acting, so he knows what to do with all the military hardware.)

Mmm, he looks so good in black.

Closer look, particularly at that right thigh holster. That thigh strap has its own fanclub in the fandom *g* *whimpers*

But when I saw what was underneath the uniform I just about died ...

You're not wrong. I think he's got the most gorgeous body - beautiful musculature without going too far into body-builder territory.

I never thought I liked muscular men (if they overdo it, it looks like something resembling a bag of bricks and just about as tactile) but him ... guh!

My view exactly! Muscular me have never turned me on, but MJ has a perfectly "normal" body when clothed, but bloody hell, when you actually get to see some flesh? MEEP, GUH, WIBBLE, and other incoherent exclamations of delight!

Does it make me strange and perverted that I'd rather have Connor? Or even possibly Nick. Not that I'm saying I'd kick Ryan out of bed or anything, but if I had to choose, I'm afraid my vaguely innapropriate geek!lust kicks in.

Although I do like those two pictures of Ryan standing there with the gun and the black combat gear. Very tasty.

Have you spoken much to Munchkinofdoom on lj? She was doing a series of Ryan-centric picspams a while back, and is another one of the mad Ryan-fans.

Nope, it doesn't. You'll notice that this picspam starts reason number 2 why I love Primeval - reason number 1 is Connor.

I lust after Ryan (especially now I have the mental image of Mark Wakeling in a towel to play with), but Connor is the one I love and is the reason why I got into the Primeval fandom in the first place. Connor makes me squee - he is just so adorable that I want to squish him. Oddly enough it's not so much the wanting to personally drag him into a cupboard and ravish him senseless (I think it's the age difference, as he's so much younger than I am) but I'm all about reading about someone else doing the ravishing to him. Even if the other character is also a lot older than Connor. Not that I would object to ravishing him if the opportunity arose *g*

Nick is pretty nice as well :)

I think I may have commented on a couple of her picspams at some point. I shall have to further the acquaintance :)
