Wednesday, 21 December 2005 20:44Hols!!! Off work now until January, woohoo!
Well chaps, tomorrow we set off on our annual 1200 mile Grand-Tour-of-most-of-Britain (this year it's Alan's family in Shropshire for Christmas, my Mum in Aberdeenshire for Hogmanay) so I won't be getting online for most of the next fortnight.
*pines*
Having withdrawal symptoms already.
To those of you overseas - sorry, I haven't been organised enough to send any of my overseas cards yet, so when they arrive, pretend they're New Year ones, ok? Well, we Scots to tend to celebrate New Year more than Christmas anyway *g*.
I am so disorganised this year. No decorations up (if you don't count the mini-arrangement of cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices and raffia that I bought at C's school Christmas Fair and hung on our noticeboard.) Christmas cards still in piles around the house, and worst of all no Christmas Tree :(
It doesn't feel like Christmas without one, but I just haven't had the time or energy to go out and get one. Not that we have anywhere to put it, with all the junk in the living room. Or will be at home for more than a few hours over Christmas and New Year. Ah well, next year.
Packing tonight. Which will more than likely involve a game of 'Now-where-did-I-put-that-pressie-I-bought-ages-ago-and-stored-away-in-a-safe-place?'. Somehow I don't think we'll be setting off first thing in the morning ...
Anyway, the main point of this post was to wish you all:
(Or whichever midwinter festival you celebrate:) )
