I do not need an iPod.
I rarely travel on public transport, and I shouldn't listen on headphones while I'm driving.
My kids get little enough attention as it is, if I have my headphones plugged in I won't hear them if they're trying to attract my attention.
The iPod is overpriced (I could get an MP3 player a hell of a lot cheaper) and the battery has a limited life expectancy.
I certainly don't need a U2 iPod, as it's an extra £37 just for a different colour and reproductions of their autographs on the back.
Having a U2 iPod is just sad.
If I get one I will more than likely order The Complete U2 from iTunes even tho I have almost all the stuff on there already in one form or another and that would be another £80 or so down the drain, even after using the £40 voucher that comes with the iPod.
Getting a docking station and speakers for nearly £50 would be an indulgence.
I know I got money for my birthday, but it would cover less than half the total cost of the above (not including the music) plus a carry case.
I don't need it. I can't afford it.
I don't need one.
I don't need one.
I don't need one.
Retail therapy is just pandering to the excesses of consumerism. Just cos you've had a bad day, shelling out all that dosh will not make things better.

Ah sod it.
