What band/artist have you been playing the most this month? U2, Talking Heads, REM

What was the last CD you bought? 'Between Two Beaches and the Sea' Belly-dancing music, Josephine Wise (title is approximate as cd is in the bedroom and don't want to wake up husband by rummaging for it)

Do you like mix tapes/CDs? Yes

What genres of music do you most enjoy? Rock, Arabic stuff for bellydancing, world music. I tend not to think in genres, it's more whether I like the band or individual in question.

What song/album/artist do you play in the bath? Atm it's usually U2's 90's 'Best of ' B-sides

Name a band/song that is special to you, and explain why: U2 - their stuff just seems to connect with my emotional state of mind more than any other music. They've seen me thru so many tough times and I love them for it. It's spiritual and uplifting and just beautiful.

Have you ever been certain a song was written just for you? "One": U2. It just summed up what I was going thru at the time. And yes, it helped. "17 Again": Eurythmics.

What song never fails to make you cry? "Peace on Earth": U2

If you could go on stage with anyone + duet with them; who would it be, what song would you sing, and why? U2, need you ask ... Song: I'd love to be able to say 'Mysterious Ways' (for obvious reasons) cos I love it, but I can't sing it very well. It'd have to be "One Tree Hill" - that song is so beautiful, it has so much emotion in it, it's almost operatic.

Does your style match your music taste? Style? What style, lol! Well apart from the bellydancing costumes and the arabic stuff (which kind of go together), no. not really.

What band/song could you never get bored of? U2

What band/artist/song makes your ears bleed? The Birdie song. Loathe it. And of course the band played it at my wedding reception...

2. Talking Heads: "Once in a Lifetime"

3. 1 Giant Leap/Michael Franti: "Passion" You can't hear this and not want to dance. Passion (Of course the first 30 seconds of 'Passion' are the least interesting bit of the whole song ... *sighs*)

4. Siouxsie & the Banshees: "Land's End" Haunting.

5. Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares: "Sekoi Fali" Or just about anything on Vol 3. This stuff makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

If you had a band - what would you call it and what would be your role? Well the one I was in (for a while) was called Smokin' Bananaskins and I was one of the vocalists. Altho if it were these days I might do a Morleigh and dance as well :)

Have you ever been in love with a song/band? U2

Is there any song that you just can't bear to listen to because of the memories? "Anything But Strong": Eurythmics. Boy that was a tough time.
