I can't believe I'm actually considering taking on yet another responsibility, when I was thinking just a week or so ago that I would have to cut down on the ones I already have.
The house is a complete tip, I really need to spend more 'quality time' *does little quotes-in-the-air thing with her fingers*
with Alan and the girls, I have piles of undealt-with correspondance and unopened letters and I haven't finished a fic in goodness knows how long. I need to completely reorganise the girls' clothes storage - half of F's clothes storage is taken up with clothes that fitted her when she was 2 (she's now nearly 6) and the stuff that does fit lives in a messy pile on top of storage boxes. Or in the ironing pile in the armchair in the lounge. And despite being treasurer of the Justice & Peace committee for about two years, I've still never sorted out a bank account for it.
But ... next week I'm teaching a belly-dance 'taster' session at one of the villages near us. And the community education people would like to make it a regular class. My teacher can't do it as she already does several classes a week, and she recommended teaching as a great learning experience. Teaching others, and the authority that gives you, really helps with your own dancing.
I am so, so tempted. But if I do take it on, something will have to give. I do waste a lot of time, especially online - it's so easy to stay online for hours and end up not getting nearly enough sleep and falling asleep at work - something I really will have to nip in the bud, as it is doing me no favours at all. I have been doing a bit better recently, but I'll just have to keep it under control.
I haven't broached the subject with Alan yet (he has to get up at 4am tomorrow, the house was a tip when he got back tonight and the girls were still awake mucking about after 10pm. Oh, and they mislaid his alarm clock so he was not a happy bunny. I thought that perhaps tonight was not the best of times to bring up the possibility of going out another evening every week ...)
I'll just have to spend Monday and Friday mornings doing household things instead of going online *whimpers*. I'm sure I can keep it under control if I try - the house looked cleaner than this when I had a small baby and a three-year-old underfoot all day, for goodness sake!
I want to teeeeeach .... *pouts*
