I haz a Connor action figure!

Friend of mine at work surprised me today with a (sort of) belated birthday present of a Connor action figure. Absolutely brilliant pressie M, thanks!

Connor is currently standing next to my PC at work with his wee waistcoat and scarf and fingerless gloves and satchel :) *geeks out*

So, naturally, tonight I had to go and order the action figure sets with Ryan and Stephen to keep him company. *headdesk* Ah well, so much for my attempts at a sophisticated professional image at work, when I'll have a battery-powered flashing anomaly, weapon rack, floodlights, giant arachnids and aforementioned Captain Tom Ryan and Stephen Hart figures on my desk. (NOT 'Steve Hart' as it is described on all the websites I've been trawling. Sheesh, Primeval merchandising people, don't you have any proofreaders? The punctuation on the back of the series 2 dvd was bad enough.) Possibly acting out scenes from Sanctuary. But only when everyone else has gone home, which since the Indian contractors stay in the office practically all evening, won't be that often. I'm not keeping them at home though - the kids will nick 'em *g*.

Jeez, I'm a 45-year-old mother of two, buying action figures for herself. This fandom has eaten my brain. (Did I mention that the funeral I was at last week took place in a chapel in the Highlands that actually appeared in a Primeval fic on [livejournal.com profile] primeval_itv? See what I mean about it taking over my life?)

Ah well, busy evening - only just had my dinner, at nearly 2am - best get off to bed, since the alarm will be going off in four and a half hours. Why aren't there more hours in the day?
