Dance teacher training stuff.
Sunday, 16 September 2007 16:10Just finished the second weekend of my dance teaching course. Overall, it went pretty well although the microteaching bit, having to teach a warmup to a group of the other students, was quite a terrifying prospect. I forgot stuff and had to do it in the wrong order, and ended up running out of time, but I suppose it could have been worse. (A lot of the other students ran out of time while doing theirs, so I wasn't the only one at least.)
The rest of it went fine though - I got good marks in the written assignments (an Excellent and two Goods) and they rated my technique pretty highly. Jo, who created the course, said my dancing was better than most of the others on the course, and that I should get onto the Diploma course no problem.
Yay for me!
*bounces*
I really want to do the Diploma course. Four weekends and a 7-day residential course, and it costs £1500 *winces*. I'll just have to rein back in on the expenditure. There are so many dance events going on that I want to go to but need more time and/or money.
Edit: Actually, it's £1550. Not including accommodation. Someone hide my credit cards and delete all the online shopping links from my Favourites pliz?
