mysteriousaliways: (Ali the Dancer by Owl)
A whole weekend of it!

Loads of bellydancers jingling around in a 14th century castle with all the works (battlements, portcullis, oak panelling, suits of armour). I just love the surreality of it all.

Note to self: Do not, repeat not spend loads of dosh at the souk this time. You do not have it. Seriously. Remember the size of the credit card bill(s). And the new kitchen we need.

The timetable looks really good. I might have a go at tribal this time. I get the impression it's more boring to watch but fun to do.

Almost finished packing, just got to pick out which costumes, jewellery and make-up I want to take. Right at the very last minute, as per. I should be doing it right now but I got lured into monaboyd and ended up reading Billy/Dom kilt!fic (owl have you seen this one yet : The Fire Escape by [livejournal.com profile] sunsetmog? Go and read it.) Well, I need to get my fix of Billy/Dom to keep me going for the weekend.

I never did get around to supplying cakes for the school cake stall. But sod it, I've contributed to all the others and I had enough on my plate this week what with getting C dressed up as a Victorian schoolgirl for the museum visit, and work being so hectic (Keanu-lookalike team leader is off on his hols atm and the project leader is breathing down my neck every 7 minutes making me chase up progress - that Unix guy is going to be sick of the sight of my name in his email list and voicemail box. For God's sake Dave get your arse back from Vancouver and get DB off my back! Pleeease? And not just so I can perv over your forearms. Thank god I'm off most of next week).

A. can go and buy some of the cakes as our contribution to school funds. He owes me, big time, after last night. All self-inflicted - he should have more sense than to drink on an empty stomach as he knows it makes him very, very ill. I won't go into the details as it's far too gross, but if he has a stonker of a hangover today I am not inclined to be sympathetic. He did sound fairly apologetic when he phoned from work.

Anyway, enough of that - I have a whole weekend of dancing to look forward to!! 15 minutes to finish packing before I have to go *scurries off*.
