That film is amazing

If "Return of the King" doesn't get every Oscar going then there is no justice in this world.

Finally got to see it this afternoon!

I've just spent half this evening oohing and aahing with owl over our favourite bits. Too much to reproduce here, suffice it to say that Billy was fantastic (*just dies of the cuteness, my hobbit fetish is pretty much firmly established now thank you*) , Sean A was brilliant and deserves an Oscar (and if he doesn't get one I will only be mollified if Andy Serkis won it instead), Peter Jackson - well what can I say (*bows down in awe*). I didn't see a dud performance in the whole cast.

Just a pity that there was so little Merry in the final version (nineteen scenes of his cut - poor Dom) but we just have to hope that they'll all be in the DVD. 5 hours, or so owl heard - yay!

My hobbit habit is getting as bad as owl's ...

I got the 'Fellowship of the Ring' Extended version DVD for Christmas from my sister (*glomps big sis madly*) so I'll be able to drool over them whenever I wish. Or at least when the kids let me anywhere near the PC, since the eldest got a virtual catz game and the Sims for Xmas. Anyhow, I can't get a good drool going until they're off to bed and I get some peace and quiet.

Right, out with the DVDs!

I totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally, TOTALLY AGREE with you!

About everything...about how fantastic the movie is, about how good Sean Astin is in it! about how ROTK deserves to win EVERY Oscar they have....even the ones they aren't eligable for - lol - fuck it! I say give them a box full of Oscars and then just show the extended cut of ROTK! Woot! I'd sit thru the Oscars that night for sure!

I also agree that there wasn't enough of Merry in the film - but I rarely think there is enough Merry in ANYTHING (this would be the part where I insert a dirty yet witty joke about me and Merry and sex and the pathetic non-mingling of the three......but I can't think of one.)

I totally loved the movie...but there was sooooo much that had to be cut out (hardly any Legolas or Gimli either) - I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 5 HOUR VERSION - GOD! I hope THAT internet rumour is true.

I also agree that your hobbit habit is getting out of hand...have you been reading any of the Legolas slash I sent you?

and a big YAY! for your sister! What a fabbo gift!!! I can't believe that you haven't seen the extended version yet! What about 'The Two Towers' EE??? Don't wait till next christmas to get that one - it's worth it's weight in mithril just for the commentaries alone!

Thanks for the birthday email btw...sorry I've been a bit inactive over the xmas break - family tensions ran rather hot - spent most of the holidays drowning my sorrows in a huge cocktail shaker of Spices...fabbo drinks made out of Midori, Malibu, pineapple juice and cream - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - I got well drunk - but still tasted pretty (according to Nate! - am slightly worried about that comment)

Nate gave me a fantastically huge stack of DVD's for xmas - including the first three season od Red Dwarf! HEEHEE!!!

BUT!

he gave those to me in private - the gift he gave to me to unwrap in front of all our friends was a leather Zorro type mask and a riding crop - I kid you not - and he watched me unwrap this with a straight face!

I just love that man of mine!

Ok - I'd better finish this up - it's starting to look like something that I should be putting in my own lj - but you know how often I got THERE! lololololololol

Happy New Year sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oy! stop trying to tempt her with Legolas, the hobbits should be enough for any woman.

Another Red Dwarf fan - yay - seems like years since I've watched. Ahh the memories "The things that boy can do with alphabeti spaggetti"

I can't believe he gave you a Miss Whiplash ensemble for crimbo! Although yeah maybe I do believe.

*snerk*

Well what else would you give a Honeymufins for Crimbo? It's the perfect gift!

(Getting typecast, Honey? lol!)

Honeeeyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!

It's been yonks! How have ya been?

Thanks for the Legolas slash m'dear - and yes I have been reading it but owl's hobbity influence is too strong. It's some sort of virtual siamese twin thing: all the hobbit-love seeps thru by osmosis. I have to admit to being well and truly sunk in the depths of pervy hobbit-fancying.

Sorry to hear that family stuff is a bit tense - hope it all sorts itself out eventually. That drink sounds yumy tho. I haven't had any cocktails in wayyy too long.

Nate is a sweetheart. Kind of a kinky sod, but a sweetheart nonetheless. Tell him I said Hi and to keep eating the sushi.

(And I'll be buying the Two Towers EE DVD as soon as I can get my sticky little paws on a copy. Was watching FOTR this morning instead of doing the housework, and damn good it was too :D )

What d'you mean "my hobbit habbit is as bad as owls" hobbit habbits aren't bad they're very, very good and maybe occasionally naughty.

'Is as pervy as owl's' then?

Hmmm, on second thoughts, perhaps not - I haven't written a dirty phonecalls fic yet!
